Beach Tanning Sesh #2 + Convoy Run

Time for another update! So a few days ago, Kayla and I both had the day off of work and finally had time to spend together. ♥. Hahahaha. She slept over Monday night after she got off from work, and on Tuesday we went to the beaacchh to tan our white stomachs and then headed to convoy afterward to stock up on snacks for school. Well... I needed to get gas first but found out when we got to the gas station that I had forgotten my debit card AND my driver's license (illegal driving!!!!!!!), so we had to head back to my house first to grab those HAHA. Good thing I needed gas! Anyway, aside from a grip of snacks, we also bought ourselves some other goodies while down there... because who knows how long it'll be before we can both find time to make another trip!

Beach pics @ Oceanside:

Lunch/dinner (aka lunner) @ Tofu House (korean food):

My korean bbq hot stone mix rice and Kayla's shrimp boiled tofu w/ brown rice that was actually purple, but delicious haha.

Froyo @ Yogurt World:

Chillin' and eatin' in my prius rofl. Green Tea tart and Pistachio flavors are yummms. But acai never again, right Kayla!? And what were your other ones? Something else fruity but sour... hahah. Hey we still needa get boba sometime AHHH. But froyo hit the spotttt.

Goodies from at Mitsuwa, Morning Glory, and Marukai:

Snacks, snacks, and more snacks from Mitsuwa/Marukai. New pencils/erasers from Morning Glory. And a new tiny Japanese-English dictionary for me...because I fail at Japanese. ;( Ok so, now all we have to do is spend roughly $390 more at Sanseido to get something free! LOL WTF.

Anyway...fun day. :) I love love love my date days with Kaylachaaan!

Not-so-mini haul.

Why, Guess, WHY!? This isn't good... spending so much. :( But at least I didn't have to pay full price for all these goodies! I feel like I've been working like a madwoman, but I have no prior experience to compare to so maybe it's not so bad. Honestly, it isn't so bad working there... I'd say I'm pretty lucky to have been able to snag this job. And I obviously NEED to work now, after this shopping spree... T_T. Haha, alright, I've been lagging a bit with this, so here we go (and don't mind my ridiculous poses and/or facial expressions... I have way too much fun by myself -_-):

1. White V-neck tee with GUESS blingin' across the chest, of course. Haha. Gotta represent, sonnn! The downside to this shirt is that those sequin things which are the makeup of the letters are basically like stickers, so they can (and will probably) end up falling off. But I liked how simple the style of this shirt is, and how it's a V-neck, so I just couldn't resist getting it!
2. Cream colored jersey sweater! I loveeee sweaters with hoodies, and I loveee 3/4 sleeves. :) The thought of a 3/4 sweater sounds a bit silly just because sweaters are supposed to keep you warm, but what about the rest of your arms? However, it sounds about right for the weather here, haha.
3. The bermuda skirt that Kayla also bought! You know what they say, great minds think alike! Rofl. Mine is in a black and white checkered pattern, as you can see. This pattern is so cute, and I love how it's got pockets to store my trinkets in... hehe.
4. Belted shorts in the same checkered pattern as the skirt, but this time in black and gray. Love love love 'em, and the material's so soft and comfy! But, dry clean only. >;(
5. Haha, okay I had to start taking the rest in my full-length mirror so you guys could see my bottoms. But here I have on a red plaid button-down shirt, which I absolutely adore. Lately I've been gravitating toward the color red, which is strange because I never really liked wearing red before. But I like the deeeep red, or darker reds, not the bright red-orange kinds of reds.
I also have on these adorable black leggings that are detailed with gold Guess buttons on the sides. I like these because they're thicker material than the other leggings I own, they stretch out a lot better and are more comfortable to wear, and the gold buttons add a nice little pinch of cuteness. :)
6. Ok, so I've been dying to have a pair of these "boyfriend" cut destroyed/worn/ripped denim jeans for forever! I've tried a pair at American Eagle Outfitters once and they fit so HUGE. They sell two other types of jeans at our store in this style, but they're made for tall tall tallllll tallllllller women. Which I am definitely not at 5'0". Hahaha. So when I found these cropped destroyed denims hiding in the transition section between the YC rooms 1 and 2 (is that how you say it? rofl), I just about died. They looked so cute, I HAD to have them! Aside from the fact that I have to roll them up 3 times and then scrunch them up my thighs so that the rip stays on my knee like it's supposed to, I LOVE these jeans. :))))))) They're a bit baggy and I have to fix/adjust them from time to time, but it's so worth it (especially for the price!). Inspired by some of the outfits I found in my Japanese fashion magazines, I shall wear them with heels. Hopefully my legs look longer that way!
7. So... these jeans are supposed to be cropped, right? Well when I roll them all the way down, they fit me like normal length pants. @__@! Curse my height! But I guess the plus side to this would be that I just found me a nice pair of double-function jeans lol =D. Woo! And I love this teal tee. Because it's a V-neck! And when I was stuck having to fold a heap of them from new shipment, I decided I had to buy one because I thought the design on it was so pretty! (and a lot better looking than some of the other shirts we have haha).
8. Blang blang flip flops! Hahah. I've been wanting some silver sandals for quite some time now, and these were cute, so I figured what the hey! These are size 6's so they're a tad long in the back for me. I usually wear a 5.5, but we don't carry half sizes at our store. :( It's okay though, because my feet are wide as hell, so they fit width-wise. :) AND ALSO! My new beautiful watch :)))). I love this watch, I love the black against the silver! And I know you probably can't tell from the picture but it's got a spec of bling at the top with a G and no numbers. (It's a G by Guess watch, btw.) It's super simple, but I loveeee. And I'm so happy that I now have a watch to look at the time so that I can stop missing my breaks! Hahaha. Seriously though. ;(

And finally...

Red muffler scarf! I've always wanted one of these, too. I'm surprised that Guess even sold them! Ohhh red. We'll see how long my attraction to the color will last...

Alright! So I'm not allowed to go shopping ever again. ESPECIALLY after Kayla's and my trip to Convoy earlier today! T___T Haha one blog update down, one more to go. I'll be backkk! Beach pictures and our "convoy haul" will be up soon. :)

Mini haul.

I say mini becaaaaause I only bought three items.

I LOVE where I work. I just don't like working hahhaa but that's everyone. Right?? So half a month ago I got to help do the new floor set for my work which meant I got to see all the new products we got in for Fall. I immediately fell in love with a lot of our merchandise BUT my broke ass can't afford it all :( But I bought my favorites :D

I don't know exactly what to call this but let's call it a sweater dress ($44.99). When I first saw it, hung, i thought it was a sweater vest but when I wore it, it clearly was longer than a vest haha. I put a random tank on so my outfit here isn't that cute. It'd be better if I had a dark long sleeve or I should've worn a brown tee.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this skirt! From the first time I opened the box filled with these skirts to trying it on, I just about died! It's too cute! This one's a deep purple, but there's also a black skirt and a black and white checkered skirt. Guess calls these bermuda skirts($39.99). These are to be work right above the hips. It looked kinda funny at my waist. BTW the shirt is from Pac Sun. I was already wearing it so didn't feel like trying to find a better shirt. Turns out the two actually looks good together.
Guess has jumped on the band wagon! These are more of a Forever 21 feel to me. Usually I see this in red, but the turquoise is uber cute haha! This is elbow-sleeve plaid($39.99). It's more fitted than the normal ones everyone wears, which is Guess's signature style. I'd wear this with some jeans. FYI I'm wearing khaki shorts in the pic LOL don't copy THAT, I was lazy to change.

soon to come: ROSE's HAUL lmao

New Kicks.

If you want the best deals on heels, boots, sandals, shoes in general, I strongly recommend going to Ross. You're probably thinking, "ew, it's probably worn, torn and ugly." True, they do have some of those, but majority of the shoes are in new condition. I came back from Ross literally 30 minutes ago and the heels I bought are in fantastic condition. No sratches, not stretched out, and the bottoms aren't even dirty! I think they got 'em in today or something! Check these babies out:

I used a poster as a background cuz you couldn't see the color and heel HAHAHA

I was looking for some strappy heels, but I ended up getting calf-high boots and some mocasins with a heel! how awesome are those?! I went all giddy when I found the heeled mocasins! It's rare to see them and I feel lucky to stumble on a pair. I was about to give up too, but just at the end, the tassel caught my eye hahah. The boots are $19.99 and the mocasins are $14.99. The only downside to these two are that the brands I've never heard of (SBICCA & BC) so I don't know if they're durable. Don't worry you Ross virgins, there's Steve Madden, Guess, and Nine West to name a few.

I've bought booties at Ross before too and I'm just as satisfied:

Whoo! New shoes for school!! :D

Tanning Session.

We went to Oceanside beach with a couple of our co-workers, Nicole and Anastasia. Tanned, talked about work, and random topics while grubbed on chips :]

I must admit, Guess workers are pretty good looking LMAO

Emma Watson Grown Up.

Emma Watson has graced the Teen Vogue August 2009 cover. And might I add, looking gorgeous and so grown up. Teen Vogue has recently glorified Hermoine Granger, AKA Emma Watson, as the NUMBER ONE in best dressed. It's natural for girls to have absolutely no clue in what to wear and how to accessorize, but as we grow up all of us will learn to dress somewhat fashionable, and others will learn how to dress fashionable and she is the perfect example. I'm not saying I'm the epitome of fashionable, but I certainly am going to get there by working at Guess and I have crazy shopaholic friends. It's crazy to think this young lady used to be a tiny little girl. I'm so not used to her wearing fabulous heels and ridiculously pretty dresses. She's also the new face of Burberry! Oh how I envy her. If only I had money to spend of pretty clothes and accessories. Life would be better if I dressed better LOL

BANG'D.

Eeeeeeeeeeee....

I've got elementary school kid bangs! Hahaha. I've been wanting to get them for a while, but I was afraid of how they'd turn out. =/ It's taking some time for me to get used to them, but they're starting to grow on me.

Yeah I went a little picture crazy, so sue me!

I'm just really glad that the week is over. Well, for me it is, since I don't have Friday class, woo! Lately I've been feeling like I'm being followed to my car after class. Gah! I mean, it could totally just be my paranoia kicking in, but oh, I don't know. And I do have pepper spray, but you can never be too careful! LOL so, today I got dropped off and picked up instead of driving myself to school. I wish I knew karate or something. Or Brazilian Jiu-jitsu! Hahaha that would be sweeeeet. =D Gosh, but summer school has been draining me... which is pretty sad, considering I only have one class and it's only twice a week. And I don't even have a job to tire me out more or anything... and it's not like I even do anything else, ever! HAHA. But it's a night class, and it's HISTORY! Ughhh historyyy. It's actually not so bad, though. My professor tells really good stories and so his lectures are interesting to listen to =). Lucky me! I've been pretty lucky with my choice of college professors so far--none have been too strict and my workload has never been too difficult to manage. And I am a notorious procrastinator... which is baaaadbadbadbad. But I just can't convince myself to change my ways... so the starting (and hopefully the finishing!) of papers the same day that they are due will just have to continue, probably for the rest of my college career. Hahaha, I don't know why I do this to myself! The other day, I found quite a long strand of white hair growing out of my head. GAH! Stressss stress stress. I'm getting old =(. It's kind of crazy though, isn't it? I look at myself and think, holy crap, I'm freaking 20 years old. Almost 21 years old! I've been living for two whole decades... each one of my fingers has 20 plus years of functioning, my eyes have already seen 20 years worth of experiences, my brain holds 20 years worth of precious knowledge and cherished memories! Well... honestly my brain capacity probably isn't that fantastic. And I have reaaaally poor short-term memory... hahaha. Where am I going with this? Haha uh, anyway, I just think it's mind-boggling how quickly time seems to flyyyy.

Actually, I'm terrified of growing up! Is this why I got this haircut? Just some ulterior motive of me trying to hold on to my childhood? Hahaha, no... not really. But seriously...yeah, I'm 20, but I still feel like such a kid. Being the youngest out of my siblings, I've been babied my whole life, and my world is just super sheltered. I don't really know much about the world yet... but I find myself content being surrounded by my family. I feel safe where I am, and I want to stay with them. And yet, on the other hand, I would love to just go out and explore places I've never been and do things I've never done before. And I'm sure that if I did do that, then I'd be able to gain the experiences that I need to make myself grow up a little. I've always pictured myself being married AND having my first child by the time I turn 25... that's only 5 (well, more like 4) years from now! Although I know that's not gonna happen now (there's no no no no no way! hahaha), I kind of wish that I was more mature for my age, at least. And that I had something, someone, some stability. I used to feel so secure about the future and having my own family with him, and even if the timing wasn't what I always pictured, I was excited and happy knowing it would happen eventually. I love way too hard. But now that stability is gone, and it saddens me a great deal knowing that this dream isn't a possibility anymore.

And so, I drown myself in romance novels and movies and tv shows. Particularly the sexy ones with ridiculously gorgeous vampires in them. ;) Would you like to see who I get to wake up to every morning? Actually, every afternoon... (I've had the most horrible sleeping schedule ever since summer started!)

Um, yes, Edward Cullen is on my ceiling, above my bed. ;DDDD LOL I swear I didn't put it there, though! I came home from school one day, went into my room, looked up, and found him staring down at me from the heavens!
"I like watching you sleep. I find it fascinating." --I had to have this Edward quote here. ;P
Oh, he can watch me sleep all night long... among other things......

What? Like you wouldn't be thinking it!

Hahahaha, omg, I've got the heart of a teenybopper... I'm never gonna get married! But that's okay. Rocco is the only male that will always love me and will neverrrr ever forsake me anyway!

Isn't he beeeaautiful? And he's fat now! A muchhh healthier 8 pounds! He went from 4.5lbs to 8lbs. Thank goodness he eats more now. I'm a happy mom. ^_____^ ...but a happy mom who needs to sleep! I feel like there was more I wanted to talk about, but I kept on rambling nonsense and forgot it all. When (more like if) I remember, I'll be back to ramble some more. =)

Midnight showing.

WHOO FOR HARRY POTTER MOVIES! Love em. Never read the books though HAHAHA
[rose, insert pic here, hahahaha]

------------------------------------------------

.......and WHOO for slumber parties and ULTA and Sprouts and eating until we can't breathe! LOL. Btw, it's Rose here, for the insertion of pictures and to talk more hahaha ;D. It's been a whiiiiiiiile since we've blogged about anything! My bad. But Kayla has an excuse 'cause she's been in the Philippines! As for me... I think we all know by now that I'm just a lazy bum!

Okay so here we are in the movie theater waiting for the movie to start. The flash on my camera was super bright rofl

Check out the creeper in the back in the last pic hahaha. OH YEAH! My hair is black again. And Kayla's hair is cut so cuuuuttteeee! =D

Okay so, there were a tonnnn of people at the midnight showing of HPHBP. Luckily we got there 2 hours early to get good seats! Except for the fact that we had to move down a seat, which ruined our perfect, precise, center seating ;[ but it's alllllll good. We brought our own snacks because movie snack prices are ridiculous! Home-made caramel popcorn pretzel nut chex mix, choco chip cookies, circus animal cookies, cheddar jack cheez-its, fruit snacks, sour patch kids, choco covered cookie dough bites...um, am I missing anything? Hahah, I think that was it. But it lasted us throughout the 2 hour and a half or so movie! Maybe because we were eating super slow and trying to stay quiet because it seemed as though we were the only ones eating anything... I didn't hear/notice any other food-chomping mouths during the quieter scenes. Okay, so maybe Kayla and I are just a couple of pigs, but whatevs!

So we saw a good amount of people (tweenies and high school kids mostly, maybe some even our age... or even older??) dressed up in Hogwarts uniforms (ties, skirts, scarves, robes, etc.). There was a guy in front of us wearing a HP shirt and on the back it said "Mischief Managed" teehehe. But I didn't get a good look at the front of his shirt (did you, Kayla??). Anyway... I'm sooo tempted to go to Hot Topic to buy a HP shirt! Ahhhh. I wish I had pictures of these people to post on here! But... that'd probably be a little creepy... hahaha.

Oh, there was this group of kids that was SUPER obnoxious. Just loud, and rude, and annoying...and loud. Haha, and there was this guy dressed up as I don't know whooooo. Actually, now that I think about it... Kayla, I think he was supposed to be dressed as Dobby! Or some other house elf. 'Cause he was in a toga looking thing, and in the dark it looked like he had wings on the sides of his head but those were probably supposed to be ears. Hahaha, gosh, duh! But when I saw it I was thinking, "Why is he dressed like he's going to a toga party?" Rofl. Oh me, oh my. But why Dobby for HPHBP? Guess I should have read the book first... maybe he was in it? Oh wells.

Anyway, the movie was incredible! Of course, I haven't caught up on my reading, so I only have the movie to go by. Maybe I'll start back up on my reading tonight... maybe. =)

Alright, so after the movie we just went back to my house. We stayed up a bit watching TV but both Kayla and I were dead tired so we pretty much knocked out for the rest of the morning lol. We woke up at around 10:30... got out of bed by 11 ish I think? Hahaha we were chilling for a while just watching TV. But we ended up getting ready to go shop at ULTA! (make-up store). Spent more than we really should have (at least, I feel like I did hahaha), then we checked out Fashion 5 and Styles 4 Less (the boutiques in the same shopping center). Thankfully for my and Kayla's bank account, we bought nothing else. We made a quick grocery stop at Sprouts (a farmer's market in the same shopping center) because it was absolutely IMPERATIVE for me to get some gelato, chips, hummus and pita bread =D. Then, we went back to my house, ate forever, had food comas, watched some Disney channel, and then Kayla had to leave me ='(. Hahaha but good times together, yes? =P

Next adventure: CONVOY! =DDDD
