Mini haul.

I say mini becaaaaause I only bought three items.

I LOVE where I work. I just don't like working hahhaa but that's everyone. Right?? So half a month ago I got to help do the new floor set for my work which meant I got to see all the new products we got in for Fall. I immediately fell in love with a lot of our merchandise BUT my broke ass can't afford it all :( But I bought my favorites :D

I don't know exactly what to call this but let's call it a sweater dress ($44.99). When I first saw it, hung, i thought it was a sweater vest but when I wore it, it clearly was longer than a vest haha. I put a random tank on so my outfit here isn't that cute. It'd be better if I had a dark long sleeve or I should've worn a brown tee.

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this skirt! From the first time I opened the box filled with these skirts to trying it on, I just about died! It's too cute! This one's a deep purple, but there's also a black skirt and a black and white checkered skirt. Guess calls these bermuda skirts($39.99). These are to be work right above the hips. It looked kinda funny at my waist. BTW the shirt is from Pac Sun. I was already wearing it so didn't feel like trying to find a better shirt. Turns out the two actually looks good together.
Guess has jumped on the band wagon! These are more of a Forever 21 feel to me. Usually I see this in red, but the turquoise is uber cute haha! This is elbow-sleeve plaid($39.99). It's more fitted than the normal ones everyone wears, which is Guess's signature style. I'd wear this with some jeans. FYI I'm wearing khaki shorts in the pic LOL don't copy THAT, I was lazy to change.

soon to come: ROSE's HAUL lmao

New Kicks.

If you want the best deals on heels, boots, sandals, shoes in general, I strongly recommend going to Ross. You're probably thinking, "ew, it's probably worn, torn and ugly." True, they do have some of those, but majority of the shoes are in new condition. I came back from Ross literally 30 minutes ago and the heels I bought are in fantastic condition. No sratches, not stretched out, and the bottoms aren't even dirty! I think they got 'em in today or something! Check these babies out:

I used a poster as a background cuz you couldn't see the color and heel HAHAHA

I was looking for some strappy heels, but I ended up getting calf-high boots and some mocasins with a heel! how awesome are those?! I went all giddy when I found the heeled mocasins! It's rare to see them and I feel lucky to stumble on a pair. I was about to give up too, but just at the end, the tassel caught my eye hahah. The boots are $19.99 and the mocasins are $14.99. The only downside to these two are that the brands I've never heard of (SBICCA & BC) so I don't know if they're durable. Don't worry you Ross virgins, there's Steve Madden, Guess, and Nine West to name a few.

I've bought booties at Ross before too and I'm just as satisfied:

Whoo! New shoes for school!! :D

Tanning Session.

We went to Oceanside beach with a couple of our co-workers, Nicole and Anastasia. Tanned, talked about work, and random topics while grubbed on chips :]

I must admit, Guess workers are pretty good looking LMAO

Emma Watson Grown Up.

Emma Watson has graced the Teen Vogue August 2009 cover. And might I add, looking gorgeous and so grown up. Teen Vogue has recently glorified Hermoine Granger, AKA Emma Watson, as the NUMBER ONE in best dressed. It's natural for girls to have absolutely no clue in what to wear and how to accessorize, but as we grow up all of us will learn to dress somewhat fashionable, and others will learn how to dress fashionable and she is the perfect example. I'm not saying I'm the epitome of fashionable, but I certainly am going to get there by working at Guess and I have crazy shopaholic friends. It's crazy to think this young lady used to be a tiny little girl. I'm so not used to her wearing fabulous heels and ridiculously pretty dresses. She's also the new face of Burberry! Oh how I envy her. If only I had money to spend of pretty clothes and accessories. Life would be better if I dressed better LOL

BANG'D.

Eeeeeeeeeeee....

I've got elementary school kid bangs! Hahaha. I've been wanting to get them for a while, but I was afraid of how they'd turn out. =/ It's taking some time for me to get used to them, but they're starting to grow on me.

Yeah I went a little picture crazy, so sue me!

I'm just really glad that the week is over. Well, for me it is, since I don't have Friday class, woo! Lately I've been feeling like I'm being followed to my car after class. Gah! I mean, it could totally just be my paranoia kicking in, but oh, I don't know. And I do have pepper spray, but you can never be too careful! LOL so, today I got dropped off and picked up instead of driving myself to school. I wish I knew karate or something. Or Brazilian Jiu-jitsu! Hahaha that would be sweeeeet. =D Gosh, but summer school has been draining me... which is pretty sad, considering I only have one class and it's only twice a week. And I don't even have a job to tire me out more or anything... and it's not like I even do anything else, ever! HAHA. But it's a night class, and it's HISTORY! Ughhh historyyy. It's actually not so bad, though. My professor tells really good stories and so his lectures are interesting to listen to =). Lucky me! I've been pretty lucky with my choice of college professors so far--none have been too strict and my workload has never been too difficult to manage. And I am a notorious procrastinator... which is baaaadbadbadbad. But I just can't convince myself to change my ways... so the starting (and hopefully the finishing!) of papers the same day that they are due will just have to continue, probably for the rest of my college career. Hahaha, I don't know why I do this to myself! The other day, I found quite a long strand of white hair growing out of my head. GAH! Stressss stress stress. I'm getting old =(. It's kind of crazy though, isn't it? I look at myself and think, holy crap, I'm freaking 20 years old. Almost 21 years old! I've been living for two whole decades... each one of my fingers has 20 plus years of functioning, my eyes have already seen 20 years worth of experiences, my brain holds 20 years worth of precious knowledge and cherished memories! Well... honestly my brain capacity probably isn't that fantastic. And I have reaaaally poor short-term memory... hahaha. Where am I going with this? Haha uh, anyway, I just think it's mind-boggling how quickly time seems to flyyyy.

Actually, I'm terrified of growing up! Is this why I got this haircut? Just some ulterior motive of me trying to hold on to my childhood? Hahaha, no... not really. But seriously...yeah, I'm 20, but I still feel like such a kid. Being the youngest out of my siblings, I've been babied my whole life, and my world is just super sheltered. I don't really know much about the world yet... but I find myself content being surrounded by my family. I feel safe where I am, and I want to stay with them. And yet, on the other hand, I would love to just go out and explore places I've never been and do things I've never done before. And I'm sure that if I did do that, then I'd be able to gain the experiences that I need to make myself grow up a little. I've always pictured myself being married AND having my first child by the time I turn 25... that's only 5 (well, more like 4) years from now! Although I know that's not gonna happen now (there's no no no no no way! hahaha), I kind of wish that I was more mature for my age, at least. And that I had something, someone, some stability. I used to feel so secure about the future and having my own family with him, and even if the timing wasn't what I always pictured, I was excited and happy knowing it would happen eventually. I love way too hard. But now that stability is gone, and it saddens me a great deal knowing that this dream isn't a possibility anymore.

And so, I drown myself in romance novels and movies and tv shows. Particularly the sexy ones with ridiculously gorgeous vampires in them. ;) Would you like to see who I get to wake up to every morning? Actually, every afternoon... (I've had the most horrible sleeping schedule ever since summer started!)

Um, yes, Edward Cullen is on my ceiling, above my bed. ;DDDD LOL I swear I didn't put it there, though! I came home from school one day, went into my room, looked up, and found him staring down at me from the heavens!
"I like watching you sleep. I find it fascinating." --I had to have this Edward quote here. ;P
Oh, he can watch me sleep all night long... among other things......

What? Like you wouldn't be thinking it!

Hahahaha, omg, I've got the heart of a teenybopper... I'm never gonna get married! But that's okay. Rocco is the only male that will always love me and will neverrrr ever forsake me anyway!

Isn't he beeeaautiful? And he's fat now! A muchhh healthier 8 pounds! He went from 4.5lbs to 8lbs. Thank goodness he eats more now. I'm a happy mom. ^_____^ ...but a happy mom who needs to sleep! I feel like there was more I wanted to talk about, but I kept on rambling nonsense and forgot it all. When (more like if) I remember, I'll be back to ramble some more. =)

Midnight showing.

WHOO FOR HARRY POTTER MOVIES! Love em. Never read the books though HAHAHA
[rose, insert pic here, hahahaha]

------------------------------------------------

.......and WHOO for slumber parties and ULTA and Sprouts and eating until we can't breathe! LOL. Btw, it's Rose here, for the insertion of pictures and to talk more hahaha ;D. It's been a whiiiiiiiile since we've blogged about anything! My bad. But Kayla has an excuse 'cause she's been in the Philippines! As for me... I think we all know by now that I'm just a lazy bum!

Okay so here we are in the movie theater waiting for the movie to start. The flash on my camera was super bright rofl

Check out the creeper in the back in the last pic hahaha. OH YEAH! My hair is black again. And Kayla's hair is cut so cuuuuttteeee! =D

Okay so, there were a tonnnn of people at the midnight showing of HPHBP. Luckily we got there 2 hours early to get good seats! Except for the fact that we had to move down a seat, which ruined our perfect, precise, center seating ;[ but it's alllllll good. We brought our own snacks because movie snack prices are ridiculous! Home-made caramel popcorn pretzel nut chex mix, choco chip cookies, circus animal cookies, cheddar jack cheez-its, fruit snacks, sour patch kids, choco covered cookie dough bites...um, am I missing anything? Hahah, I think that was it. But it lasted us throughout the 2 hour and a half or so movie! Maybe because we were eating super slow and trying to stay quiet because it seemed as though we were the only ones eating anything... I didn't hear/notice any other food-chomping mouths during the quieter scenes. Okay, so maybe Kayla and I are just a couple of pigs, but whatevs!

So we saw a good amount of people (tweenies and high school kids mostly, maybe some even our age... or even older??) dressed up in Hogwarts uniforms (ties, skirts, scarves, robes, etc.). There was a guy in front of us wearing a HP shirt and on the back it said "Mischief Managed" teehehe. But I didn't get a good look at the front of his shirt (did you, Kayla??). Anyway... I'm sooo tempted to go to Hot Topic to buy a HP shirt! Ahhhh. I wish I had pictures of these people to post on here! But... that'd probably be a little creepy... hahaha.

Oh, there was this group of kids that was SUPER obnoxious. Just loud, and rude, and annoying...and loud. Haha, and there was this guy dressed up as I don't know whooooo. Actually, now that I think about it... Kayla, I think he was supposed to be dressed as Dobby! Or some other house elf. 'Cause he was in a toga looking thing, and in the dark it looked like he had wings on the sides of his head but those were probably supposed to be ears. Hahaha, gosh, duh! But when I saw it I was thinking, "Why is he dressed like he's going to a toga party?" Rofl. Oh me, oh my. But why Dobby for HPHBP? Guess I should have read the book first... maybe he was in it? Oh wells.

Anyway, the movie was incredible! Of course, I haven't caught up on my reading, so I only have the movie to go by. Maybe I'll start back up on my reading tonight... maybe. =)

Alright, so after the movie we just went back to my house. We stayed up a bit watching TV but both Kayla and I were dead tired so we pretty much knocked out for the rest of the morning lol. We woke up at around 10:30... got out of bed by 11 ish I think? Hahaha we were chilling for a while just watching TV. But we ended up getting ready to go shop at ULTA! (make-up store). Spent more than we really should have (at least, I feel like I did hahaha), then we checked out Fashion 5 and Styles 4 Less (the boutiques in the same shopping center). Thankfully for my and Kayla's bank account, we bought nothing else. We made a quick grocery stop at Sprouts (a farmer's market in the same shopping center) because it was absolutely IMPERATIVE for me to get some gelato, chips, hummus and pita bread =D. Then, we went back to my house, ate forever, had food comas, watched some Disney channel, and then Kayla had to leave me ='(. Hahaha but good times together, yes? =P

Next adventure: CONVOY! =DDDD

In case you missed it, or like me, want to watch it over and over....

AHHHH! Alice's hair looks a bit different, er, styled differently at least. I got goosebumps when she was laying on th ground. And Jacob Black, turning into a wolf.... the plot thickens LOLThe trailer so far, follows the book. Hopefully the rest of the movie is the same. The Twilight movie was half changed! So I need to read New Moon alll over again so when NOVEMBER 20th comes, I know whats in the book and whats added.

Guess Haul.

Memorial Day SALE! PLUS my 40% discount :]
What I bought over the weekend at Guess:
OK, I know what you're thinking, the green shirt is hugging the hell outta my fat! AND IT IS! It was the first time I put it on and I was VERY tight. I need a bigger size. You can't tell b/c of my fat, but it's scrunched on the sides to make it even more tight!

The black top is cute. I've been eyeing it ever since we got it in the store. It scrunches in the boobage area, thought it doesn't seem to really do that while I'm wearing it. This top is also skin tight. But manageable.

I just LOVE the maxi dress. I always thought a maxi dress would look ugly especially for me because I'm short. I don't know, I just always pictured a maxi dress weighing me down, but i LOVE LOVE LOVE this dress!

Things I couldn't wait to buy for Memorial Day weekend:

The gray tee is one of my favorites. The design is so cute and I love how it's a V-neck. The black tank is actually kind of see-through. There's this swirl design on the tank that is the see-through part. I wore this to Universal Studios with Carlo. Everytime I wear this tank, he says people stare cuz they see my shirt is see-though and thinks they try to look for my nips or something hahahaha! I just had to buy this green top. You can't see it, but it's a racerback. And the bottom right corner of the shirt there's a flowery design with the logo in there. The Guess store I work at only sell sandals so I bought myself some gladiator ones. The first day I saw them I fell in love with them and just had to buy it. I always thought gladiator sandals would look SUPER ugly on me, idk why. I only went for the regular thong sandals. BUT i adore these! They're just a pain to get on. I wish I could just slip into them.

I've become a shopaholic :(
Now I'm gonna go buy the Confessions of a Shopaholic book
hahaha.

collabo vlog

FINALLY.
maaan I tried uploading this vid on blogger for 3 hours and it wasn't working! SO I uploaded it on YouTube. But it was the wrong video. Then I tried Photobucket and it wasn't the right format or length. SOO I was stuck using myspace. And the video quality is all crappy :( oh well.
ENJOY.

Tuesday, May 19, 2009

So I was watching E news today and they were talking about robert pattinson and new moon. Nothing shocking, just saying he's gonna be playing edward throughout the rest of the saga. BUT at the end of the topic, they showed the first OFFICIAL poster for New Moon:

This poster says it all...
And is it just me or is Taylo really tall? I didn't realize he was that tall.

Another thing while I was watching E news, theres a rumor that Taylor Lautner and Selena Gomez are DATING:

awwww they're soo cute!
People Magazine reports that the two visit each other at work on set. THAT MEANS Selena goes to Vancouver to see Taylor?! Wow. Oh, young love. Better than the dude she filmed with in Another Cinderella Story. The guy was what, 25?! I don't know but that's just nasty!

Well I hope more posters come out.

Besides the Twilight saga movies, I CAN'T WAIT FOR THE NEW HARRY POTTER MOVIE TO COME OUT!! I was watching and comparing different trailors for the new harry potter movies and I do believe this is the best one:

I think this will be the BEST Harry Potter movie yet!! The trailor looks insane!

I am such a loser.

On a side note, Since majority of my classes are done and I have but ONE MORE to take, I've been bored out of my mind. I have the feeling, once again, to read books. I just don't know which book to read! I'm thinking The Host since it's so FAT, but I think I want to wait for when I go to the Philippines. Which I found out I'm leaving on June 4th. Ugh Who would've thought that choosing a book to read would be so difficult?!

So before I kill myself trying to study for my two history finals...

I just had to post this up. LOOK AT THAT DELICIOUS PIECE OF VAMPIRE MEAT! Ohhhh boy oh boy oh boy, New Moon in November still!??! Happy birthday to meeeeeeee! I hope. But this poster might just be another one of those fan-made ones. LAME. Either way, he's still super scrumptious. ;]

Anyway, I think I'm gonna end up getting a C in my History 101 class. I just don't want to put in the effort anymore. UGH. No. NO! I have to get a good grade. Piece of crap school!

New Moon movie update!

so i was bored one morning, waiting to leave for school and i stumbled on this video about the New Moon cast:

I am SO excited for this movie! I have no idea who are majority of those people casted and I think it's a good thing. I won't expect anything of them. And maybe i'll love them after i watch New Moon.

Oh my holy baby Jesus!

Thank goodness, this dreadful week is over, and my spring break can finally commence! Not that it'll be much of a break--I have midterms, exams, papers, and projects that I need to prepare for and/or complete for the week after break, and I'll also be applying for a scholarship that's due on April 10th, I believe. But I shan't think of such atrocious things, at least not right at this moment. Relaxation time! Too bad Kayla's spring break doesn't start until the week after mine. ;( Suuuuper lame.

Alright, so I know how long it's been, but school has been keeping me extreeeemely busy. ...In part. I think it has to do more with the fact that I'm just incredibly lazy, and have a knack for wasting tons of time. My schedule doesn't necessarily help my situation, either. I absolutely DETEST night classes! But alas, it must be done. Next semester, peace out, Palomar! Not that I'll be going very far at all, haha. But it's about time, eh? Unless Kayla and I will be taking JAPN202 next semester? We'll just have to see, I suppose!

Ahhh, Japanese class! The pace of the class is a little slow, but it's understandable considering the fact that some students were virgins to the Japanese language. >;-D Muaha. It's alright though, because I am not at ALL as good at Japanese as I should be at my level. This course is a great refesher and I think that I, personally, am learning quite a bit of new material--especially in learning how to speak more casually. Plus, I get to see Kayla more! <3. And we also get to do some pretty interesting activities, like making bento, singing karaoke (in class ahah), eating at restaurants, and going on field trips! And it's always nice to make new friends, too, I suppose. Haha. Here are some pictures from our "class" trip to Kansha in Escondido, which is a Korean/Japanese restaurant. I had the fish katsu, and Kayla had the tenpura. Afterward, we were craving some boba, so Kayla and I went to the Bubble Tea in San Marcos. We also had some smores on the side when we got back to my house, haha. Random combo, but still deeeelish.

Kaylaちゃんはとってもかわいいですよ!てんぷらはおいしそうですね! Alright, what's next... ah! So the next interesting occasion was when we had a few Japanese (exchange?) students visit our class. A bunch of us, including some students from other Japanese classes, went to Applebee's for dinner after our class. They took forever to bring our food out (like an hour and a half wait!?), but there was good company and conversation during the wait. Atsumi, Uki, and Shizuri are sooo cute, ne Kaylachan?? Hahaha. (By the way, I totally stole some pics from Xandra and Uki muahah!)

And our most recent venture was the field trip to Mitsuwa, where we had to complete a packet by doing this sort of scavenger hunt around the store for some pretty random things, lol. We searched for books on sale, we had to figure out whether the japanese sweet potato was a vegetable or a fruit, we had to find what type of product was pictured and say if it looked delicious... as a few examples haha. It was pretty interesting, but frustrating when we didn't know what the heck we were looking for, or when we couldn't remember what some kanji meant (guh!), but overall, it was a fun experience. Afterward, Kayla and I did our usual snack run, because appaerently our most favorite thing to do when we're with each other is EAT hahaha. But after shopping, we went to eat at ChopstixToo with Ukichan and Jade (from our class) and Eric and Edris (sp?) (from a JAPN102 class). We took some pics before we split (actually, Jade had already left, but then this dude takes his place for the picture, haha. I guess Eric and Edris know him, and possibly Uki does too, but I sure don't! Not even his name haha. But we weren't really introduced or anything, so I don't feel as bad, ahah).

So after we split, Kayla and I stopped by Marukai real quick! We pulled into the parking lot, and saw Tachibanasensei just leaving in her car (when she said she was going home already even before we went to ChopstixToo). Ahah. Secret rendez-vous at Marukai, eh sensei!!?! Lol, but anyway, I bought some to-go bentos to bring home for my siblings, and Kayla bought these vanilla ice cream cone things that tasted like cool whip! But they were light and pretty darn delicious. AND HUGE!

Kayla, why are we always eating all the time!? Hahaha seriously, it seems like with every set of pictures we take, we're either eating out or snacking on something. Good thing we can be workout buddies now, too!

Okay, so one last event to talk about, which I deem as the most important of all (ROFL): TWILIGHT DVD MIDNIGHT RELEASE PARTY! Ksdjfoijskldf!!! Alright so, earlier today (er, yesterday I suppose), Kayla and I discuss the different, possible places we could get our Twilight copies, as well as the many "Twilight DVD release parties" going on: Wal-Mart, Best Buy, Borders, Hot Topic, Target. Initially we planned to buy ours at Target, because I guess they're the only place selling the 3-disc special edition! But they weren't gonna be open for a midnight release, so Kayla finds out that Borders is also selling an exclusive edition, AND is having a Twilight DVD release party in which we would be able to get dibs on our copies (first come, first serve kinda thing) if we showed up at 9:30. So, Kayla picked me up around 7 ish to 8?, and we were trying to figure out where to go because we thought that the Borders at El Camino mall would be doing the release party. We called, found out they weren't doing it, and had to change our route to the actual Borders store in Carlsbad. Before going there, however, we mosied on up to the mall anyway to check out Hot Topic's Twilight merchandise =D. Around late 8 to 9, we left the mall and headed to Borders. Good thing we got there early, because there were hellllllla kids! Lotsa little tweenies, some teens, some Twilight moms (!??!!! "Carlilse woooo!" hahaha), and some dads that probably didn't really wanna be there (or... did they? Muahah). Felt SO out of place. All we really wanted was our stinkin' copy of the DVD, dangit! Ahah. But anyway, during this "party," from 9:30 to 12:01 (when they are officially allowed to start selling the dvd), they had some of the main workers asking Twilight trivia, giving out free merchandise and candy, and we got to see the movie's deleted scenes. They did some other activities too, but Kayla and I got hungry so we went to the little cafe and got some drinks and sweets. Oh yeah, we had to fill out this survey thing and turn in a ticket for a drawing where people would get the chance to win free stuff. And uh, yeah... I won. LOL. I don't really know how, but apparently I got the first place win because of the answer I wrote for my "favorite part of the movie" question on the survey sheet (which I will not say. They already read the answer out in front of the super Twilight tweeny fanatics and they probably all hate me for being old and taking their chances at winning something hahaha). But it was kind of cute. I couldn't decide between the Twilight 2009/10 calendar and the Edward action figure (hahaha), so I asked the "audience" which one I should take. They did that voting thing where each item gets held up and the one that gets the loudest screams is the one I should take. Guess which one they chose! Hahahaha man oh man. Even if it was kind of weird, and although it felt like we were stuck in this middle school club event type of atmosphere, we finally got what we were waiting sooo so long for. WOO! うれしかったよ!Here are some pics:

Kayla had gotten a delicious slice of carrot cake and some Tazo Peach Green tea.

I had an iced Tazo Chai tea latte and a snickerdoodle (not pictured).

Suuuuper dorks! =D Team Edward/Vampires t-shirts... and Team Edward pins (which are not pictured). And of course the DVD! Ahahah.

Oh yeah, the crowd chose the Edward action figure. Muahah. What the heck am I gonna do with that!? .........

WOOHOO TWILIGHT!!! Original price $39.99 but we got 10 dollars off sonnn!

Ah, good times. =)

Oh man, I feel like I just wrote a term paper or something. I take forever to blog! Actually, it takes me forever to do anything. But I did have a lot of pictures to post and lots to catch up on. Whoever reads through all of this--kudos to you, haha. Except for Kayla, because she has to! XD

But seriously Kayla, thank you so so much for everything. For being there to hang out with and talk to, and providing me with opportunities to get out of my house once in a while! Even if it's just to a bookstore for a dvd release party with tweens ahahaha. You really have helped in keeping me sane throughout everything I've been struggling with recently, and I just really appreciate it. It's hard when I'm alone, and everyone is busy (including myself), and there are just those times when I can't help but think about what might happen, about what I should do. I know I'm stubborn, and I probably need to grow up... but either way, I'm all smiles with you around, and you help keep my mind occupied so I don't end up being lonely and sadddsss haha. So I'm glad that you're here! Arigatou......... to, kimi ni iwareru to, nandaka setsunai! LOL. No seriously, thank you. I love you, giiiirrrrrl. LIKE TWILIGHT LOVE. Rofllll.

Ok I am SO out for the night (er, morning). I don't know when I'll blog again, but I'm sure the length of this one will be enough to last a whileeee hahaha.

P.S. - I GET TO SEE BoA TOMORROW, I SO EXCIIIIITE! :D!
